Hi Val, you were tired and I know how you felt :)

You can do it!

I'm pleased to see that your headline is 'je parle français, mais un peu' it's better than your 'I don't speak french'. You did told me some phrases in FRENCH :)

I'm glad you appreciated this first discussion. Preparing the further ones will help you to be more confident. You will do well.

Thanks for the compliment!

J'ai aimé la jupe que vous m'avez montré :)

Bonsoir, Marianne

comment dit on `I will do my best` en françes ?

I think I was also feeling a bit down... I finally got myself feeling better tonight!   I will talk to you again in french in a few weeks!  I want to do more writing!  yoroshiku ne!!

marianne leie

Konnichiwa Val ;)

En français, on dit: je ferais de mon mieux.

What does mean yoroshiku ne? I'll learn a few Japanese words ;) ...

Merci beacoup!   Je ferais de mon mieux!!

I need to lingQ that before I forget!

Yoroshiku ne is a casual version of "Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu"  which is the most commonly used Japanese phrase without any good english translation.  In this case it would be like, "I am asking you to do something for me please"

There are many greetings in Japanese which don't exist in English, and I presume French as well

bonne nuit

[this is good] Je parle un peu français,..nouns avos des points en commun: l'enthousiasme, le vivecite` et l'amour... for the good language.

Bonjour Val,

Actually, it would be better to say: je ferai de mon mieux. I think that 'je ferais...' could be translated by ' I would do my best' ... not the same, sorry :(

I'm also looking forward to speak with you and will keep things simple :)

Bon week-end!
